Microgaming Marks Casino Online Milestone

Microgaming Marks Casino Online MilestoneMicrogaming, the casino online software giant behind games like Mega Moolah, is celebrating an impressive two decades of operations on the Isle of Man. The company is set to make 20 charitable donations to as many organisations in celebration of this fantastic milestone.

Marking 20 years since the company landed on the shores of the island, Microgaming will be celebrating 20 different organisations. Through its PlayItForward corporate social responsibility scheme, the developer has been able to identify organisations that need these donations most. The company’s hope is that by paying it forward, the charities identified are able to get the reprieve they so desperately need. These organisations touch on various different areas of the community, meaning that their contributions will benefit those who need it most across numerous intersections.

Committed To Supporting Local Charities

Ever since Microgaming set up shop on the Isle of Man, the company has been unwaveringly committed to supporting the island’s local charities. To date, over £3.5 million in charitable contributions have been donated by the casino online software developer. The company relocated to the Isle of Man in 2001.

So far, the company has already extended its support to the North Ramsey Bowling Club, the Ramsey Grammar School and the Isle of Man Foodbank. It has also assisted a young person who is training to become a paramedic. Furthermore, 16 new donations are still set to follow within the year.

Wildlife & Biodiversity Efforts On The Horizon

In addition to the donations already made, Microgaming plans to celebrate the Isle of Man’s wildlife and environment. The company plans to build a ‘microforest’ in the Manx countryside. This forest will benefit the area’s wildlife and biodiversity for several years to come. Through this ‘microforest’, the online casino software developer will work alongside the Manx Wildlife Trust. The company’s staff is set to plant 1,500 native trees in October. These trees will be planted in the south of the Isle of Man.

John Coleman, Microgaming’s CEO, said in a statement that this is a special year for the brand. He went on to say that he could not think of a more appropriate way to mark 20 years on the Isle of Man than by supporting 20 of the island’s greatest causes. Mr Coleman added that he is proud that the casino online company is able to continue extending its roots in the region year after year and that the PlayItForward scheme is able to continue to play an active role within the community.
