Playtech Receive GamCare Online Casino Award

Playtech Receive GamCare Online Casino AwardGamCare has announced that Playtech is the first-ever recipient of its recently developed B2B safer gambling standard. The firm was awarded this accolade following an in-depth review of the online casino tech firm’s business and operations. The review covered a number of areas, including the company culture and executive support for safer, more responsible gambling, as well as how product teams have developed safer gambling techniques into the design of the games and products it offers.

Playtech has also been awarded the safer gambling standard award for the products and platforms that it operates through in the United Kingdom.

Safer Gambling A Priority

GamCare has long been focused on the well-being of online casino players, with safer gambling initiatives at the forefront of everything that the company does. The new safer gambling standard that was just awarded to Playtech takes into consideration the measures that businesses have implemented in order to protect players from experiencing any harms relating to gambling. The award is also aimed at putting the well-being of customers at the forefront of all operations.

Playtech’s Senior Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Manager, Richard Bayliss, said in a statement that with the firm’s industry-leading products and services, Playtech has always been able to work closely alongside its licensees in order to help raise standards within the online casino industry with regards to responsible business practices and safer gambling.

Bayliss added that Playtech is extremely proud to be the first B2B business to have received GamCare’s safer gambling accreditation, as it means that the firm’s efforts are being recognised.

Working Together

Hayley Jane Smith, the Head of Safer Gambling Standards at GamCare, said that her firm is looking forward to continuing to work alongside Playtech. She said that the two firms will continue to refine approaches that make for safer gambling environments.

Playtech has been awarded multiple levels of GamCare’s accreditation, namely levels two and three. This was due to the nature of the online casino products that it has produced, as well as the platform from which Playtech is operated and licensed throughout Great Britain. Ms Smith added that Playtech has already shown that it has a firm understanding and focus on continuing to develop safe gambling methods, as well as improving on existing ones applied to its products that have, in turn, been supplied to gambling operators.

Moving forward, GamCare’s hope is that Playtech will serve as an example to other online casino content developers so that safer gambling initiatives are implemented all over.
